Why not just use CoinGecko or TradingView?
I built this because I wanted a much simpler experience: my bags, my targets, and an email when one was reached. Too many of the notifications I was getting weren’t relevant to my holdings, so I didn’t want them switched on. MyBagAlert focuses on the price and market-cap targets you set, with repeat reminders only if you choose them. No market news or unrelated coin alerts.
Do I need to connect a wallet?
No. Add your holdings and targets manually. Your crypto stays in your own wallet or exchange. MyBagAlert watches prices and market caps and emails when we observe one of your targets being reached.
What do you mean by “the moon”?
Your own price or market-cap target. You define it for each bag, and we email you when we observe it being reached. It isn't a prediction that a coin will rise, or a recommendation to keep holding. You can change your plan whenever you want.
Can I close the app and leave it running?
Yes. Once your email is verified and your targets are active, monitoring runs on the server. You don't need to keep a tab open. Keep your holdings and targets up to date when your plans change; prices are checked periodically, so brief moves can be missed.
Do I have to tell you what I paid?
No. Profit tracking is off by default. If you choose to add an average buy price and its currency, we'll calculate estimated unrealised profit for your current holding. You can turn it off and remove the buy price later. Your price and market-cap alerts don't depend on this information.
What will you email me about?
Your chosen price or market-cap targets, the reminders you enable, and optional daily, weekly or monthly portfolio reviews. You'll also receive necessary account emails, such as verification and password resets. No market news or unrelated price alerts.
Can you keep reminding me until I notice?
Yes. Choose hourly, every six hours, or daily reminders for a target. Acknowledge to stop them, snooze for 24 hours, or pause the target. One email only is also an option.
Does MyBagAlert sell my crypto?
No. It tells you a target was observed and includes your planned sale quantity, if you added one. You decide whether to trade, then update your holding separately.
Do I need a card to sign up?
No. Sign up free, verify your email and add your first bag. You won’t be asked for card details or charged automatically.
Will it catch every brief price spike?
Prices are checked periodically, so a move between checks can be missed. Alerts use fresh provider observations and record when a target was reached; they don't guarantee that the price is still at that level when you read the email.
What about stocks and portfolio reviews?
Choose daily, weekly or monthly portfolio reviews in Settings, or leave them off. Reviews respect your figure-sharing choice. This version focuses on crypto; stock tracking isn’t available yet.
